Introduction of Infant Newborn Handheld Otoacoustic Emission OAE Hearing Screener :
The Otoacoustic Emission Hearing Screener (hereinafter referred to as "OAE Hearing Screener") is a hand-held screening device that performs objective tests against the function of the cochlea outer hair cells by means of Distortion Product Otoacoustic Emission (DPOAE) or Transient Evoked Otoacoustic Emission (TEOAE). It can be used as a screening device or as part of a complete audiology assessment test. Otoacoustic emissions detect the cochlear mechanism and indicate whether the cochlear function is normal.
The OAE Hearing Screener includes software and hardware that generate test sound, test and display DPOAE or TEOAE test results. The circuit board in the host provides signal programs and displays test results. The instrument is powered by a lithium battery. It displays test data and test status with a LCD. The probe section of the device has a microphone and two speakers. They are used to generate stimulation signals and test sound pressure levels (SPL) in the closed ear canal. The interface between the instrument and the ear canal is connected by an earplug made of rubber, and the earplug is mounted on the probe holder. Earplugs of various sizes can be easily distinguished by color. The five buttons on the panel of the instrument can be used to control testing and printing, as well as make various settings. After the test is completed, place the main unit on the docking station and press the "Print" button to print automatically. The OAE Hearing Screener can store up to 200 test results for 50 subjects. The test results can be seen from the LCD on the instrument. Test results are stored in memory and you can print them whenever you need them.
